Dialup Service
Addendum
All terms here apply as an
Addendum to Blastcomm’s standard Terms of Service.
Dial-up Services are provided as
interactive services in which the user initiates and is active during access
sessions. These services are intended for interactive user sessions and not to
used as dedicated or always on connections through the use of software that
automatically reestablishes connections without user intervention.
Limitation of Dial-Up
Services
Although Blastcomm advertises
"Unlimited Access" in regards to some of it's Dial-Up services, there
are several limitations applied. The sole purpose of these limitations are
intended to limit the amount of unnecessary use or inappropriate use of
products and services offered by Blastcomm by any such User, which restricts
overall Blastcomm system availability for other such Users. These limitations
apply only to Dial-Up access services offered by Blastcomm.
Idle Timeout
User agrees to have their online
session automatically terminated after twenty (20) minutes of consecutive
inactivity. Inactivity is defined as no direct user interaction causing network
activity between User's modem and the Blastcomm service.
Maximum Single Session
User agrees to have an online
session automatically terminated after four (4) hours of consecutive time,
regardless of data transferred during such specific online session.
Minimum Re-Connect Limit
User understands they cannot log
back onto the Blastcomm system for a time period of five (5) minutes following
the termination of their previous online session, in the event of a forced
termination or a improper termination of the connection for the previous
session's termination.
Multiple, Concurrent Online
Sessions
User agrees to maintain no more
than one (1) concurrent online session for each PPP/ISDN account purchased.
Non-Dedicated Service
User agrees to not use the
service as a dedicated connection. The determination of what a dedicated
connection is shall be at the sole determination of Blastcomm. Service is
provided as an unlimited service provided that you may not use the provided
connection as a dedicated connection.
Use of email programs to automatically collect email during idle periods
when the User is not actively using the Internet to keep a connection open
constitutes a Dedicated Connection and is not allowed under this service.
